Help Write a Book

Making it through every day, being part of a family or household keeps most people busy enough.  Then add working, and well, things can start to get hectic.  Now add MS to the picture and you've knocked the ball right out of the park!  We at "Working with MS" think that daily encouragement and "centering" are important to coping with the challenges that life with MS brings.  And we know that it isn't always easy to find "just the right person" to give us that encouragement right when we need it.  So we decided to create an online daily inspirational e-book that will give us that "special MS friend with an understanding heart and those special words" that make us laugh or lifts us up when we are finding it hard to find the strength within ourselves to do so.
If you are willing to share your encouraging words (and can assure they are your original words and you are willing to forgo copyrights), we'd love to include them in our ebook!
Our apologies to those who are artistically gifted and want to share inspiring images; at this time we are unable to accommodate pictures, videos, or other graphics.
Here are the rules for writing a page in "Inspirations from Working with MS":
  1. Maximum of 1,800 characters (including spaces and punctuation) or approximately 300 words per page; one page per day.
  2. No profanity, lewd or otherwise offensive remarks, please.
  3. All quotes from other writings or speeches must be appropriately cited with the author's name and the source where it was found
  4. (plagiarism and copyright violations cannot be tolerated!).  For example,
When you have come to the edge of all the light you have
And step into the darkness of the unknown
Believe that one of the two will happen to you
Either you'll find something solid to stand on
Or you'll be taught how to fly!
(Richard Bach in “Jonathan Livingston Seagull”)
  5. You agree that modest editing may be applied to your writing by the editors/web owners (to correct typos, etc.)
  6. No individual author names will be listed in the ebook.
  7. The published collection of inspirations will carry a copyright notice on the website (in order to collectively protect the rights of the authors), but individual authors agree to release their copyrights to the collection.  (No attempt will be made to financially profit from individual submissions or the collection of inspirations; our goal is to provide collective support and encouragement!)
  8. Editors/web owners make no promise of timely posting and reserve the right to not publish a submission without explanation.  There are no means for author recourse should the editors chose not to publish a submission.
  9. Authenticated authors may chose to withdraw their submission at anytime.
